BANYAN

Banyan is an art rock/alternative rock band with heavy jazz, funk, and punk influence, based in Los Angeles, California.

 

Stephen Perkins, who first played drums for Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyros, & Infectious Grooves. Perkins is celebrated for his highly distinctive, “tribal” drumming style that incorporates elements of rock, jazz, funk, and world percussion.

 

Willie Waldman quickly broke into the West Coast hip-hop scene through engineering connections at Death Row Records, lending his trumpet styling to iconic tracks for Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Warren G, and the Wu-Tang Clan. His diverse performance credits also span rock and alternative acts like Sublime, Perry Farrell, and the jam band Banyan. Over his career, Waldman’s studio work has contributed to 13 platinum records and two Grammy awards.

 

Rocky George Born and raised in Los Angeles.
An eclectic guitarist who was in the punk/hardcore crossover band Suicidal Tendencies in the 80’s & 90’s. The band received two Grammy nominations during this period. Later did an over a decade stint playing with the LA-based Ska-Punk-Funk band Fishbone.

 

Tony Franklin is an English rock musician, best known for his work on the fretless bass guitar with Roy Harper, the Firm, Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers, John Sykes’ Blue Murder, David Gilmour, Kate Bush, Whitesnake, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Donna Lewis, Gary Hoey[1] and most recently with Lou Gramm
