Desert Dwellers with Smiley Coyote & DJ Panacea

Animas City Theatre Presents Desert Dwellers – Tabula Rasa Tour with Smiley Coyote & DJ Panacea Thursday February 5th 2026 Doors 6:00pm / Show 7:00pm Tickets $32 / $35 / 21+ No Exceptions including minors w/ legal guardian Tickets on sale now online   Desert Dwellers is a diverse electronic music project that bridges the ancient and the future, fusing deep bass, world instrumentation, and psychedelic textures into immersive sonic journeys. Founded in 1999 by Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, the project grew out of the legendary Moontribe gatherings in the deserts of Southern California and has since become a cornerstone of global festival culture.   Blending influences from countless genres, Desert Dwellers has released dozens of albums and remixes, toured across five continents, and collaborated with an eclectic array of artists from around the world. Their music has graced stages at Symbiosis, Ozora, Lightning in a Bottle, Boom, Envision, Shambhala, and Burning Man, resonating with audiences through both meditative journeys and powerful dance floor experiences.   In 2025, Desert Dwellers entered its most significant evolution yet. Co-founder Amani Friend stepped away from touring to focus on studio production and other creative pursuits, while a new collaborator joined the project, acclaimed producer and mixing/mastering engineer Sarkis Mikael   The trio of Amani, Treavor, and Sarkis have begun co-creating a powerful new body of work, blending their distinct talents into an inspired next chapter. A reimagined live show is also in the works, which Treavor and Sarkis will debut in 2026. While continuing to honor the project’s signature sound and ethos “Music Beyond Borders,” Desert Dwellers is now expanding into bold new sonic territories.   Smiley Coyote dwells in the southwest where the desert meets the mountains. Music has been streaming through his veins since birth. Having been engulfed by the electronic music evolution, he’s been along for the ride since the 90’s. West Coast festivals such as Burning Man, Symbiosis, Lightning in a Bottle and Beloved are what really sparked the desire to share musical journeys through DJing. He’s enjoyed sharing the stage with some of the top producers in the industry as well as performed for many festivals. His musical selections are genre-bending and able to appease most audiences as long as they enjoy a touch of bass. Sharing audible frequencies to the Ecstatic Dance community is his most fulfilling experience however. He crafts each and every set in the moment with only the dancers participation as his guide. As the co-producer of Unison Festival, he is constantly on the lookout for the freshest sounds to curate the southwest’s premier transformational festival.   DJ PanaceaBrady is a vocalist, songwriter, performance poet and DJ. His musical ear was tuned in utero as his parents sang carols on the Snowmass mall with him warmly nestled in his mother’s womb. His childhood was blessed with children’s choirs and music camps, and he performed in many musical productions along the way. After college, Brady took center stage as lead vocalist for Durango’s premiere Reggae band , A Dub Rock. Additionally, he was honored to provide backup vocals for the foundational beginnings of J-Calvin’s Funk Express. A special events DJ specializing in global dance music, Brady currently produces and performs Soma Sound Space, a twice monthly ecstatic dance experience in Durango, endearingly known as Dance Church, in room 208 of the Smiley Building on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month

Dizgo with YOPE

The band’s name came to Hinnefeld in a dream, before their first gig, reflecting the cosmic, boundary-breaking sound they’d soon deliver. Later joined by Jake Evatt on keys/vocals and Justin Clark on drums, the Bloomington-based quartet has since evolved into one of the country’s premiere touring acts.   Critics have called Dizgo “one of the most operative names in the jam band scene” and “Indiana’s psychedelic powerhouse,” blending the adventurous spirit of jamtronica with the deep-pocket pulse of funk, the warmth of soul, explosive guitar, and the kaleidoscopic textures of psychedelic rock. Their live shows are immersive journeys – a dance party and mind-trip rolled into one. Interweaving soulful vocals, analog synths, and searing guitar complete with intricate compositions and extended improvisation. The result is something both danceable and introspective: a dance floor where heads and hearts move in equal measure.   https://www.dizgoband.com https://www.facebook.com/dizgoband https://www.instagram.com/dizgo.band/?hl=en https://dizgomusic.bandcamp.com/?fbclid=IwAR1Y2d4mCQoe2bW5ThW3nLVD4hO4Nw3VYx2xbiQPA-UpxKUCRdOTh0i0n9A   YOPE: Formed out of the open mic scene in Durango CO, Yope is an eccentric genre blending funk-rock-jam fusion band who keeps the energy high and the dance floor moving. Taking inspiration from alternative masters like RJD2 and Pretty Lights, the Vermont-born and New York-based artist went from fiddling around on Garageband to conquering the world of electronic soul, playing major festivals and huge gigs on the same bill as the artists who inspired him. Wythe opened for Pretty Lights at Red Rocks all the way back in 2013, and he’s played the historic venue multiple times since in support of STS9 and ZHU while also landing slots at Camp Bisco, Hulaween, Electric Forest, and more.   But for Wythe there is a musical apparatus that enthralls and defines him far more than any computer program. A sonic vehicle through which he can travel anywhere he wants to go. Whether he’s driving towards an escape from reality or going further within himself in search of growth and maturation.   An instrument that has been a source of respite, joy, excitement, and insight since he was only 10 years old: the guitar.“Guitar is my thing, straight up,” Wythe says. “Guitar is a part of me at this point.” And in this coming phase of Marvel Years, listeners will get to explore that part of Wythe alongside him. He’s going deep. Making the music he’s always wanted to make. Giving his fans a true and honest reflection of who he is as an artist like never before. The inspirations of the new era are legends like Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Gilmour, Santana, and John Mayer.   “Louie Letdown” refers to a Denver Based Rapper & Producer . His work is available on platforms like SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Music. “Letdown.” is a different artist, Blake Coddington, who is a Nashville-based alt-rocker known for his music about mental health, while “Louie TheSinger” is another artist with a different background. Other possibilities include Louie DeVito (a DJ) and Louie Shelton (a guitarist), or even the song “Louie Louie”
